With a lift capacity of over 10,000 guests per hour, our two quad chairs, four triple chairs, two conveyor lifts and one surface lift will quickly get you back to the top of the mountain and ready for the next run. Chestnut Mountain has an exceptional average base depth of 25-62 inches on over 220 acres of mountain terrain.
Skiing
Imagine carving through a blanket of white, leading your family and friends down the pristine terrain on one of Chestnut Mountain’s 19 ski slopes. Revel in the excitement as you navigate the 475-foot vertical drop, racing through 3,500 feet of runs. Chestnut Mountain’s slopes are available to all levels of skiers, from beginner to black diamond.
Snowboarding
Chestnut Mountain’s winter terrain isn’t just great for skiers; it’s the perfect playground for snowboarders. A top-rated Midwest snowboard park, The Farside, is the largest terrain park of its kind in the Midwest, containing more than 25 rails and an array of features. The park is served by its own triple chair lift and surface lift.

Our 20,000-square-foot ski center is home to Mountainside Outfitters, featuring brand-name ski and snowboard gear, goggles, hats, and souvenirs. You’ll also find equipment rental options, including Elan Discovery Ski Rental, Burton Learn to Ride snowboard rentals, ticketing outlet and winter sports school. Full ski and snowboard repair and tuning services are also available.
